Sappho & Wine Night

This event is attached to the LGBTQ+ Symposium happening in Sir Duncan Rice Library (MR1), in collaboration with the University of Aberdeen Anthropology Society, the Creative Writing Society, the English Literature Society and the History Society. More details .

We have the pleasure of welcoming Dr Sam Newington (she/her) for an evening celebrating the legacy of Sappho, an Archaic Greek poet from the island of Lesbos. 

The talk will be followed by a a workshop on crafting fragmentary and found poetry with leaders of the Creative Writing Society.
