Meeting Point: Aberdeen Train Station

Join us for a scenic day trip to Stonehaven, a picturesque coastal town just south of Aberdeen! This is your chance to escape the city, soak in stunning seaside views, and explore one of Scotland’s most iconic spots, the dramatic Dunnottar Castle.

What to Expect:

• A relaxing train ride from Aberdeen to Stonehaven (return ticket included)
• A stroll through Stonehaven town and along its beautiful beach
• A guided clifftop coastal walk to Dunnottar Castle with scenic photo stops
• A peaceful group picnic with breathtaking views
• Optional visit inside Dunnottar Castle (entry not included)

What to Bring:

• A packed picnic
• Comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing
• A camera or phone, the views are unreal!

Walking Distance:

Approximately 90 minutes each way on uneven, mixed terrain including uphill paths. The walk may not be suitable for all mobility levels, see accessibility info below.

Accessibility:

Due to the nature of the clifftop walk and uneven terrain, this event may not be fully wheelchair accessible. However:

• Step-free access and accessible toilets are available at the train station
• Assistance dogs are welcome
• The town centre of Stonehaven (prior to the walk) is step-free and accessible
• The event is LGBTQIA+ Inclusive, Neurodivergent-Inclusive, Disability Inclusive, and Inclusive of All Ethnic & Cultural Backgrounds
• Suitable for Vegan/Vegetarian/Gluten 
• Alcohol-Free
• Low sensory environment in town areas (quiet spaces and low music; note that the coastal path may have environmental noise such as wind/waves)
